About Us

At our 20 week ultrasound we were told our baby boy, Graham, had Spina Bifida, the next day he was diagnosed with Trisomy 18.  We also found out that 86% of Trisomy 18 diagnoses end in termination. Of the 14% of pregnancies that aren’t terminated only 25% make it to birth.   We were thrown in headfirst along with our 2 girls who were 2 and 4 years old.

We chose to continue the pregnancy and Graham beat the odds, making it to birth and surviving for 14 hours!  14 hours we hoped and prayed for over several months. He gave us the best gift we could ever ask for.

We were so blessed with those 14 hours and I knew I had to make them mean something and so began 14 Hours Strong.  No one ever plans on being thrown into such diagnoses, so when families are, it is absolutely terrifying and life shattering.  That’s where we can help.  We hope to ease the burden of a life limiting diagnosis by providing resources and support to parents and existing children impacted by the diagnosis.  We help those who have lost a baby and parents that are in the midst of a high risk pregnancy.
